Weerts Logistics Parks (WLP), the logistics real estate division of the Weerts Group, is proud to announce its collaboration with Tailormade Logistics and DSV, two prominent players in the industry, as new warehouse tenants in Ghent. This is an exciting milestone for all parties as they join forces to expand their regional logistics activities. Developed by WLP, these two state-of-the-art warehouse buildings offer 46,000 square metres of space and are designed for various uses.

A strategic location for growth

The new warehouse, strategically located on the Ghent-Terneuzen canal, offers excellent road access and is close to the rail terminals and the R4 motorway. This advantageous location will allow Tailormade Logistics and DSV to expand further and diversify their logistics activities while meeting the growing demands of their customers. Christophe Weerts, Director of WLP, explains: "When selecting each site, we pay careful attention to its location. Each location must be multimodally connected and ensure good access to different modes of transport such as road, rail and waterways. This allows our tenants to optimise their supply chains, increase operational efficiency and focus on sustainability.”

Sustainability as an essential criterium

In line with their shared commitment to sustainability, both Tailormade Logistics and DSV emphasise environmentally sound practices in their operations. The newly leased warehouse, developed by WLP, has the prestigious BREEAM “Excellent" certification, highlighting its environmentally friendly features, including solar panels, heat pumps, intelligent LED lighting, rainwater harvesting and electric vehicle charging stations. This aligns with Tailormade Logistics, DSV and WLP's core values of sustainable business.
