Weerts Logistics Parks plants first tree in Fidenza

Last Friday (October 27th 2023) Pascal Weerts planted the first tree (a beautiful, strong oak) at our new logistics development in Fidenza, in the province of Parma in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The Fidenza project is a 50,000 sqm logistics building that will be LEED Platinum certified.  

WEERTS LOGISTICS PARKS WELCOMES TAILORMADE LOGISTICS AND DSV IN GHENT

Weerts Logistics Parks (WLP), the logistics real estate division of the Weerts Group, is proud to announce its collaboration with Tailormade Logistics and DSV, two prominent players in the industry, as new warehouse tenants in Ghent. This is an exciting milestone for all parties as they join forces to expand their regional logistics activities. Developed by WLP, these two state-of-the-art warehouse buildings offer 46,000 square metres of space and are designed for various uses.

Weerts Logistics Parks settles near Leipzig Airport in Germany

Weerts Group announces a new development project within its logistics arm, Weerts Logistics Parks (WLP). The Belgian family-owned company will start constructing a 38,660 sqm logistics complex serving as 2nd line warehousing for Leipzig Airport (Germany) mid-2023. The completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2024.

 

 

PRIMONIAL REIM FRANCE JOINS WEERTS LOGISTIC PARKS HOLDING, THE LOGISTICS REAL ESTATE JOINT VENTURE, ALONGSIDE WEERTS GROUP AND ETHIAS

In 2020, Weerts Group and Ethias entered a 50/50 joint venture (Weerts Logistic Parks Holding, WLPH) for the acquisition of income-producing logistics projects developed by the Weerts Group.

In light of its substantial pipeline of more than 1 million square meters under development (in addition to the circa 500k sqm already delivered), Weerts Group together with Ethias decided to identify a new partner to allow WLPH to continue to invest in a diversified portfolio of core logistics real estate in Western Europe. Today, Weerts Group and Ethias are proud to announce they found that new partner in Primonial REIM France.

WEERTS GROUP INVESTS IN GAROCENTRE, THE TRIMODAL TERMINAL OF LA LOUVIERE

The fruitful collaboration between Weerts Group, the territorial development agency IDEA and the city of La Louvière will eventually lead to the construction of a logistics hub of over 68,000 m². Located close to the E42 motorway and directly connected to the Centre canal, this new project will integrate sustainable technologies and will create at least 250 direct jobs. Construction is scheduled to begin in late summer 2022 and the first building is expected to be operational by the end of 2023.

Weerts Group to develop a multimodal logistics hub on the AMS South site in Charleroi

Weerts Group and the Port Autonome of Charleroi join forces

Together with the Port of Charleroi, Weerts Group will develop a state-of-the-art warehouse complex on a plot of land of about 180,000 m². The AMS South site, located in Marchienne-au-Pont, is a prime location and Weerts Group is delighted to participate in the conversion of a former industrial site which, thanks to its proximity to the city centre of Charleroi, could be used as a hub for city logistics, especially in the agri-food sector.

Bleckmann opens a new state-of-the-art facility in Bury St. Edmunds, United Kingdom

Bleckmann opens a new fulfilment centre at Suffolk Park in Bury St. Edmunds. It's Bleckmann's  fifth distribution centre in the United Kingdom. This sustainable new facility, with a clear height of  twelve metres, offers a floor capacity of 32,000 square meters with further potential to expand. 

OPENING OF A MULTIMODAL HUB AT TRILOGIPORT, OUPEYE

Weerts Group is successfully completing the construction of a multimodal logistics hub of 90,000 sqm at the Trilogiport site in Oupeye, located in the wider Liège region, a stone’s throw from Maastricht. The site, which was given the project name “Weerts Logistic Park III”, consists of a fully automated cold storage of 20,000 m² and standard storage areas of 70,000 m². The site is fully let to Weerts Supply Chain.

WEERTS GROUP ASSISTS LOGISTICS COMPANIES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

The Belgian family holding Weerts Group has bought an industrial land plot of 171,600 sqm for the development of a logistics building of 80,000 sqm in Bury St Edmunds. The site is ideally located for the development of logistics activities along the A14 motorway, the only motorway to Felixstowe, where England’s main container port is located.

Ethias and Weerts Group enter into a 50/50 joint venture

Ethias and the Belgian family business Weerts Group are entering into a 50/50 joint venture aiming at the joint development of a pan-European portfolio of logistics real estate. Under the terms of the transaction, Ethias will systematically acquire 50% of all logistics developments completed and rented out by Weerts Group. The multimodal hub at the Trilogiport site in Liège, which is currently being finalized, is one of some 15 industrial buildings, spread over 7 sites, that will fall within this partnership.
